Snips and Snails and puppy-dogs' tails.

What are little boys made of, made of?
What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and puppy-dogs' tails,
That's what little boys are made of.
What are little girls made of, made of?
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice, and everything nice,
That's what little girls are made of.

While out enjoying a little bit of sunshine today and playing football Callum proved why this nursery rhyme is so true. Every Snail, Ladybird, Worm, Bug was picked up, examined (in a nice way not a dissecting way) and then placed back after a good handling. Oh and lots of questions asked. "What Do Snails Do? " "Why are Ladybird's Red? " Why do worms live in the dirt?"

Eventually we came indoors and as per normal Callum mode his jumper was taken off and left on the floor while he ran up to play with his toys. As I picked up the jumper I noticed lying on the floor something long, thing, gray and moving. Yes it was a worm. He had picked it up and put it in his pocket, probably knowing Callum to keep it warm. The poor thing had wriggled it's way out of the pocket and was trying it's hardest to bury itself in our carpet. Callum wasn't too hot on telling me if anything else was in the pockets so I had the unenviable task of sticking my hands in a four year olds pockets to see what was in there. Thankfully nothing. Mr Worm is now safely outside in a good old bit of proper dirt and said jumper is in the washing machine waiting for a good wash.

A visit to Great Nanny

Had so much fun at Great Nannies yesterday! But boy was it a hot day. When we got there Nanny gave us some ice-cream to cool us down but I didn't want that, the garden looked much more fun to be out in! Even though Great Nanny is old she still likes to play and have fun which is really cool. Eventually after eating lunch I was allowed to play in the garden. There were lots of pretty flowers there and big bushes that mummy hid behind and jumped out at me from behind. Unfortunately we had to go home as Mummy said it was getting too hot to be outside and poor old Nanny was looking a bit tired. But before we left nanny made sure to give me money for my piggy bank and a big big big huge bar of chocolate!! Yummy Nanny rules!!

Also yesterday I got to briefly see Favourite Auntie Katie, she popped round with ice-lollies for her and mummy, but I was asleep when they had them. Auntie Katie rocks as she likes to play funny silly games and makes funny faces too!
