Say "Cheese!"

The other month Daz asked if I could get a more recent (and nicer) photo of Callum and I together for him to have at work on his computer. You'd think this would be a simple task wouldn't you? Well it isn't!

Firstly I can't find my remote control for my camera so I have to either rely on the in-camera timer which in all honesty doesn't give you much time or I have to try and work out an angle that fits both Callum and I in together in the frame while I myself am holding the camera, as you know not necessarily the easiest of tasks. Also add to this that doing the second method Callum then sees his reflection in the lens and so keeps moving to getting just all of his face in the frame. But apart from all of this it's been fun! I think we're still hunting for the "perfect" photo but we've sure got some funny ones and as our friend Cindy said: "You can tell how much fun you two had taking these."

So for your eyes here are a select few of the shots taken. Currently we've had to "shoots" and no doubt there will be plenty more to come BUT I am determined to get this photo and get it by taking the photo myself.

All photos can be seen here.

Busy like a Buzzing Bee.

What a busy last few days we've had. In short here is how they have been.

Friday - Callum and I went over Hainault Forest, we were over there for a good few hours and attempted to feed the crazy geese, walked round the lake, looked for the Teddy Bear's Picnic in the woods (but I think we were too noisy and scared them off), looked at and stroked the animals in the little farm section, had ice-cream and ran down hills. Very exhausting but wonderful.

Saturday - Daz, Callum and I met up with my sister Emma, Bro-in-law Martyn and Eloise and Alex. We went over to Harold Wood Park which then leads on to Pages Wood. It was a gloriously hot sunny day. We had fun in the playground, sat and had a picnic in which we're not sure may have been a golf practice area, went for a walk around Pages Wood, played Pooh Sticks, found a nice little area that was alongside the river where nobody else was where we played football and Frisbee and chilled out. It was a lovely afternoon although Daz and I are feeling a bit sore from our sunburn, we didn't realise just how hot it was.

Sunday - As my parents are away for my Dad's, Eleanor's and mines birthdays we had a little family thing yesterday for us to swap presents. It was a fantastic day full of sunshine, wine, food (and BBQ food at that!), presents, water fights, cake, and lots of laughter. It made me remember what a fabulous family I have.

So today I've been busy going through all the photos from these last few days. It seems I may have been a bit too click happy as there around 300 photos. Yes you did read that right, it averages out about 100 per day! Jeez maybe I need therapy.

When I've sorted through for some of my favourite photos I'll update here with them.

Let It snow Let It Snow Let It Snow.

Yes!!! At long last it decided to snow. I've ben wanting this for so long as Callum has never properly seen real snow before, the last time we had snow that settled enough to play with was when Callum was only 5 months old and so a little too young to appreciate it.

I woke up about 7 o'clock this morning and there was this winter wonderland delight before my eyes and a big smile on my face appeared. Already I had plans for for what to do. I should have known that when I said to Callum to come look out the window and see the snow and he didn't want to that those plans wouldn't see fruition. OH well such is life with the little monkey monster, we had to go out in the snow anyway for the walk to playschool. At least it looked pretty.

I thought maybe the walk to playschool might change his mind but no that didn't, he just kept telling me he didn't like it and it was scary even after I explained that snow was just another type of rain. Nothing could change his mind and make him see the fun in snow. Is this little boy really my son I thought, snow is awesome!!! How can you not want to touch it and throw it? Strange boy. All the other children at the playschool were loving the thought of snowballs.

Upon picking Callum up from playschool somebody had down a 360 degree turn about snow. Audrey who runs the group had during the morning taken the children out in groups of two to shuffle up snow and bring it indoors for them to play with in big bowls until it melted and (surprise surprise yes Mummy is right) it turned into water! So I now had a little monkey monster wanting to play with snow... just as most of it had melted. *laugh* We managed to find a few garden walls with snow remains on them and had mini snowball fights on our way home. Now somebody keeps glimpsing outside asking when more snow is going to come, guess which one of us it is. :D

The Terrible Twos

Terrible Twos

Well I've finally reached the grand old age of two! Apparently it's referred to as the terrible twos but Mummy and Daddy keep saying that that's a myth and doesn't exist. Hmmm me thinks they might be fibbing on this. I've heard all the rumours about it at Mother and Toddlers and from those cousins of mine. The story goes that once you reach the age of two years you are given free reign to terrorise your parents, family and friends. This is done by throwing what is called temper tantrums, but in truth is just a fun way to see how far you can push Mummy and Daddy into giving you whatever you heart desires. Also you get to refuse your food and milk and demand you have a diet of just chocolate, crisps, lilt and those ever so nice little dinky things called sausages. Run amok in the middle of the night... Mummy looks so funny with her hair all sticking up. There's lots of mischief you can cause. I think this next year is going to be lots of fun, much better than all the trouble and torment I've caused this past year. Wow I wonder what it must be like to be 18 and the myths about the mayhem you can cause at that age.

Well I suppose I better say a little bit about my birthday. The day itself was fabulous. I woke up and went in to see Mummy and Daddy and saw this big huge mountain of Postman Pats and Winnie the Pooh stuck on paper of odd shapes and sizes. I didn't know what to do, it was huge and so intriguing looking. I got told that they were all for me and that I could open them. The first few were some groovy clothes but then after that it was a magical toy shop! There was a hoover which actually makes noises and picks things up, I can soon put Mummy in a retirement home as she'll no longer be needed around the house. Then there was a Tractor Tom Farm set which is really cool, it's got animals and haystacks and a barn and Cars!! Yipppeeeee my favourite toys to play with. What else was there? Ermmm... oh yes a Fire-Engine that flashs and makes noises and moves along, my very own c.d. player and c.d.'s which is good, I can now listen to some decent music Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is a great favourite of mine. There were some jigsaw puzzles and some building blocks. Lots and lots of fun things to play with. After we'd spent the morning playing with everything Mummy and Daddy got me dressed in one of the groovy t-shirts and we went out for lunch. We were going to go to Harry Ramsdens they do scrummy fish and chips but is was too busy in there so they had to give in to my pleas of wanting to go to McDonalds. Mmm I like McDonalds. After that I was meant to go to Play Town but for some reason we didn't go, something about it being closed down, pah didn't they know it was my birthday and I wanted to go there. So instead we went to the big toy shop and I got to pick out three toys for myself, I chose a Tinkie Winkie, a train called Percy and this cool looking car that you can take apart and build again! I'm so lucky to have such a great Mummy and Daddy.

Anyway this birthday thing is tiring. Not only did I get to have a whole day with just Mummy and Daddy and have lots of fun playing with new toys I also got to have home made birthday cake. It was yummy and had a chocolate middle... mmmm chocolate my favourite. The next day we were up early and Mummy spent many hours in the kitchen while Daddy and I played in the front room. I wish that Mummy could have joined us but she kept muttering things about people coming round and having food ready for them and making another cake and why was the silly thing sticking to the bottom of the tin... she would have been better off playing with Daddy and I. Sometime later Auntie Emma, Uncle Martyn and those cousins of mine turned up and we had great fun playing with the new toys and making a mess. Cousins Eloise and Alex though kept trying to take all the toys I wanted to play with off of me. Ha I'll show them the error of their ways when I'm older and Ruler of the Universe! After hours of playing, both Nannies and Grandad's turned up with all my other aunts, and uncles and Mummy's friend and her family turned up and I had more of that opening presents stuff. Boy is that hard work, all this paper to rip off then waiting for it to be taken out the box and then all the playing with it. Very hard work.

All in all though it was a great two days, I'm hoping that it happens more than once a year this birthday thing, presents are cool!

Busy Busy Busy

What a busy last few days I've had!

There's been painting, playing indoor football, seeing Auntie Emma and cousin Alex (cousin Eloise had apparently been naughty and so had to stay at home with Uncle Martyn), trips to space with all my toys in my Rocket Space Tent that for some reason Mummy keeps saying is her rocket ship, throwing toys out onto the fire-escape for Mummy to keep running down to get back. AND today it was the Carnival, there were lots of pretty little majorrette girls and a couple of nice beauty pageants. Also I think I've driven Daddy a bit wild, hehehe, it's good fun to have tantrums!

This morning was really cool, Mummy and I sat down and did lots of painting with her cool paint kit she bought me from the pound shop. I got really messy and was just a little bit too slow in redecorating the front room. Daddy said that my pictures were great and both him and mummy said he have to keep them... shame as I love to rip up paper and paper that's been painted on would have been cool to rip up.

Tomorrow I'm meant to be going swimming. This will be my first time but I'm assuming that it's just like a big huge bath and that I can have fun pulling out the plug! Daddy loves it so much when I do that trick, hopefully there will be some nice young ladies there to impress with this trick.

Park Time

Well today has been a fun day!! Mummy and Daddy took me over the park with Auntie Emma, Uncle Martyn and cousins Eloise and Alex. We did lots of running around, playing on the slides and kicking the spiderman football about. It was so much fun and so exhausting that on the way to the pub on the way home I fell asleep. I blame it on the the hot sunny weather. Anyway at some point I woke up to find myself in a garden of some form with everyone talking and drinking beer!! See I can say that word! Daddy and Uncle Martyn bought us all drinks and crisps which I thouht were great to throw all over the floor!! Hehehehe!!

Anyway my home has been invaded by those cousins of mine and there's talk of pizza!!! Yay !! that means garlic bread!! Smelly!

Also we all posed for lots of photos so they'll be posted by mummy no dobut as she likes to show me and my cousins off. God everyone must get sick of seeing us!

Toys!

What a fun day today has been. Mummy let me play in my own room with all my toys which is always so much fun. Mostly because I like to take everything out of it's place and put it somewhere for mummy to trip over! Then I managed to sneak my hands into the wardbrobe draws which have the trap device on the front and pull out a load of clothes which I really think needed to go on the heater. Hehehe lots of fun.

After mummy telling me lots of times to help her tidy up the toys I decided on a better solution, I neatly stacked everything onto one of mummy and daddy's prized sofas. It looked so cool and was great fun to sit on top of! They were still there when Daddy came home a bit earlier than normal, much to his surprise. I love it when Daddy comes home from work, especially tonight as I got to wind him up by hitting him with cushions and poking my finger in his eye. But I think he enjoyed it as he still gave me my bath, maybe I'll have more finger in the eye game tomorrow hehe.

Anyway I'm asleep and asked Mummy to type this up for me. I bet her and Daddy can't believe I'm asleep this early in the evening.
